Dowling notes that attacks like WannaCry ransomware should be expected with the technologically advanced world we live in. They run at a much slower speed so it is likely that the slower speed of such systems didn't let the WannaCry Ransomware attack them. The British Home Secretary said most of the NHS systems were back to normal by midday Saturday.

The Indian financial system also claimed that despite WannaCry Ransomware's cyber attack on thousands of establishments across the globe, India managed to remain unaffected by it.

The U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team, part of Homeland Security, urged U.S. victims to contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The ACLU, meanwhile, urged Congress to pass a law requiring the government to disclose vulnerabilities to companies "in a timely manner", so that they can patch them as soon as possible.

China's cyber authorities have repeatedly pushed for what they call a more "equitable" balance in global cyber governance, criticising USA dominance. NIC is monitoring more than 100 websites of state departments, institutions and colleges.

Last Friday, we reported on a major cyberattack involving ransomeware that hit a large number of computers - including some belonging to the UK's National Health Service. Cyberdome warns that there is a possibility of ransomware to affect mobile phones too.

In a surprise move over the weekend, Microsoft released a patch for versions of Windows it no longer supports - because many businesses and organizations use legacy technology as critical infrastructure.

In March, we released a security update which addresses the vulnerability that these attacks are exploiting. Keep all your softwares up-to-date.
