Neither United nor Palace have anything tangible to play for on the final day of the season.
Sam Allardyce is bemused by the Premier League's decision not to move Crystal Palace's game with Manchester United to Saturday. He is likely to miss Michael Carrick's testimonial at Old Trafford on June 4 if he is called up by England for their games against Scotland and France next month.
With Mourinho concentrating all his efforts on winning the Europa League final on Wednesday night, the Manchester United manager has confirmed that a very young side will take to the pitch against Palace at Old Trafford.
When asked if Rooney will play tomorrow, he said: "I don't know. He played 90 minutes in the last match, so probably not".
Of those youngsters, only Tuanzebe, Fosu-Mensah, McTominay and Pereira have featured for United's senior team, the latter two for a combined total of just 16 minutes.
"I don't think Paul has the conditions to play; we will let him be completely free to come back when he thinks he is ready to be back", he explained in Tuesday's press conference.
But they have struggled in the Premier League and will finish sixth regardless of their result in Sunday's home match against Crystal Palace - meaning the Europa League represents their last chance to reach next season's Champions League.
Bosz went on to say that he doesn't care about Mourinho's record in finals and their 100% win rate against Ajax, "I never look at coaches from other teams".
"You are punished for doing well and if we beat Celta we have the final on the Wednesday [May 24] and we play against Crystal Palace on the Sunday [May 21]", Mourinho said on May 1st.
'We will have Demetri Mitchell, McTominay, Josh Harrop, Matthew Willock, Angel Gomes and Zachary Dearnley. Fantastic group of players, fantastic spirit since the beginning of the season.
The Europa League final will be United's 64th game of a jam-packed campaign, but Bosz pointed to his side's own well-filled fixture list as evidence that tiredness should not be a factor for either side.
Mourinho said: "Everybody goes on Wednesday".
"I spoke with [Under-23 coach] Nicky Butt and his opinion is important. Then our squad was reduced to a number that put us in big problems".
