Spurs fans file lawsuit against Pachulia, Warriors

20 Mai 2017

The suit, which was filed on behalf of San Antonio season ticket holders and card shop What's On Second, claimed Pachulia acted "without excuse or justification, intentionally and maliciously invaded the landing zone of an opposing athlete, Kawhi Leonard", according to the San Antonio Express-News.

Point spread: The Warriors opened as six-point favorites; the total is at 212, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.

With that rest, came rust.

No fewer than seven Warriors cracked double figures as the home side led from start to finish before their home fans at the Oracle Arena.

The Spurs provided no indication either way Thursday regarding Leonard's potential return, while his teammates played coy when asked about the situation.

Curry also contributed seven assists and seven rebounds to put the Warriors just two wins away from reaching a third consecutive NBA Finals in the best-of-seven series.

At halftime, the Spurs were leading the Warriors by 26 points, 62-46.

The Spurs were never appreciably closer in the second half.

THORPE: You have to give him that room so we can land without fear of being hurt.

Spurs playmaker LaMarcus Aldridge was prodded by Spurs coach Gregg Popovich to score more, although he has faced two and three defenders at times with Leonard and star guard Tony Parker both out injured.

Leonard was injured when he landed on the foot of Warriors' center Zaza Pachulia.

Leonard missed Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals against Houston after spraining the ankle in the fourth quarter of Game 5. He turned down shots. He's got a major responsibility in Game 3.

Leonard has hurt his ankle multiple times in the past week.

Sparked by Stephen Curry's four 3-pointers, the Warriors led 33-16 after one quarter. Then they were blown out 136-100 in Game 2 when all he could do was watch on TV from the team hotel. James and Kevin Love led the Cavaliers. With the long-range three-point shot an important part of today's National Basketball Association, more defenders, says coach David Thorpe, are trying to disrupt and distract. They led at halftime 61-39.

"Unlike Game 1 we did that tonight". The Celtics kept changing up defenders guarding James, but he exposed them all and showed that there is no one in the league who can stop a determined James.

Aldridge brought it in Game 1 against the Warriors as well, scoring 28 points in a two-point defeat.

Game two is May 19.

Kerr is recovering from a May 5 procedure at Duke University to fix a spinal fluid leak and Mike Brown has been coaching during his absence, but the reigning NBA Coach of the Year has been attending practices again and addressing the team in the locker room while watching games behind the scenes.
