Perry also tied Teemu Selanne's franchise record with his eighth winning goal and moved past Selanne for sole possession of second in Ducks' history with his 36th postseason goal.

Prior to Game 5, Nashville was without it's captain and it's No. 1 centre. Wilson converted a backhand shot of an initial shot from P.K. Subban from the right point. Game 5 is tonight in the Honda Center, but the Predators will be without one of their best players.

Bernier came on in relief for Anaheim to start the second period.

Jonathan Bernier took over and stopped 16 shots in his first appearance in almost two weeks for the Ducks, who already were without 30-goal scorers Rickard Rakell and Patrick Eaves before losing Gibson to a lower-body injury. "They came out and worked harder than us in the second and third period, and that made the difference in the hockey game". A tip-in from Aberg gave Nashville the lead with 8:59 remaining.

Anaheim picked up a huge 3-2 OT win at Nashville in Game 4 to even up this series at 2-2. Fisher hasn't scored a single point in the postseason but the Predators' leader has been a factor in every game, opening up space for his teammates.

The Senators captured Game 1 in overtime and overwhelmed the Penguins early in Game 3 of a series that hasn't exactly been the walkover it looked like after Pittsburgh dispatched Columbus and Washington in the opening two rounds. Johansen had emergency surgery shortly after Game 4 and was ruled out for the rest of the playoffs. They are still only two wins away from the Stanley Cup Finals. He is the team's leading scorer in the postseason, with three goals and 10 assists in 14 games, and he also has a plus-12 rating.

Aberg fell face-first to the ice with 11:24 to play in the third period but stayed in the game.

Johansen's absence Saturday night was alleviated, though, by timely depth scoring. Anaheim's Ryan Kesler, Andrew Cogliano and Antoine Vermette have all scored just one goal apiece over the Ducks' 16 playoff games.

The Predators will have to find a way past the Ducks without their top center and just after having lost home ice advantage. The blazing speed of the Preds has been on full display so far, with the eighth-seeded team outskating and out-chancing Anaheim for large stretches of the series. It was the fewest shots ever allowed by the Ducks in a period. "There's been a couple of games I wasn't happy after the games".

While the Predators received timely scoring, Rinne was spectacular making 32 saves. It took 29 shots to finally snap the shutout by John Gibson. Stepping into the lineup to fill in were Frederik Gaudreau and Miikka Salomaki. Aberg wristed the rebound of a Filip Forsberg shot while falling to the ice for the score with Mattias Ekholm drawing the secondary assist. The veteran center played an active game in both zones and was solid in the faceoff circle, particularly with a pair of huge defensive zone wins late in the third period.

This time, however, the Predators couldn't pull another stunner. He recorded 48 points (25-23-48) in 66 regular-season games in the AHL during the 2016-17 campaign, and tallied four points (3-1-4) in three games for the Admirals during the 2017 Calder Cup Playoffs.

Frederick Gaudreau, one of the centers pressed into service for Nashville, appeared in his first National Hockey League playoff game and his 10th career game.
