iOS 11 It's no secret Apple has been working on augmented reality, so that may play a role in Monday's announcements. Apple is expected to host 5,000 developers at its developers' conference.
Where it stands out, per Bloomberg and famed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, is in superior audio quality - something apparently tapping into Apple's Beat's expertise. The consensus is that while the World Wide Developer's Conference is still going to be mostly about software, there will be hardware announcements. Features such as the new proactive notification system are doing a very good thing in Google's competition against Amazon's Echo.
First and foremost, when does Apple's WWDC-based presentation begin? That will likely give it a leg up on Google and Amazon since Apple fans can more easily work it into their lives. There's a chance Apple may add deeper Apple Pencil integration for the iPad in its next software update as well. Speaking of the Apple TV, Apple has been reportedly trying to establish streaming TV deals for a while now, but I'd be surprised if anything came to fruition next week.
The device will be a hub for Apple's HomeKit home automation system, letting users control devices such as lights, door locks and window blinds.
Siri is expected to power the as-yet unconfirmed device, which according to reports has entered the manufacturing stage - though none of this has yet been confirmed by Apple. Apple highlighted several apps that have recently seen success within the walls of the Store.Of course, wooing developers to continue putting their apps on the App Store will be a major part of the show's program.
While still far from hitting mass adoption, virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa are becoming more widely used by Americans. Currently, the App Store is available in 155 different countries.
Previously Bloomberg reported that Apple will upgrade the 13 and 15 inch MacBook Pros with Intel's new Kaby Lake Processor. He expects service revenue to double by 2020 from last year's US$24bil (RM102.92bil). Apple is also thinking to include the sensors to measure the room acoustics and adjust the sound levels while using.
But while Apple's figures are impressive, it's also important to look at how they compare to other app marketplaces.
