Apple Announces watchOS 4 for Apple Watch with Siri Smart Watchface, More

08 Juin 2017

Apple watchOS 4 is going to launch as an update this fall, while the developer's preview will start seeding later today.

Even if we don't see the Apple Watch 3 announced at WWDC 2017, watchOS 4 could be a seriously big deal for Apple wearable fans.

While Apple has added in two new visual watch faces, the most notable additions is the Siri watch face which brings machine learning to the Apple Watch that serve up personalised information to the user that dynamically updates with relevant data from first and third-party apps when the wearer raised it to their face.

Siri now shows an information stream quite like Google Now on your Apple Watch.

The Activity app will receive updates with some flair for celebrating your milestones. That information can include flight boarding passes, time of sunset, or smarthome control. Now you can choose different exercises to complete that will all be recorded in the same workout.

Apart from this, the Activity app also adds some custom heart rate algorithms for high-intensity interval training. Apple Watch Series 1 with a Sport Band is available at a starting price of Rs 23,900. This will work through NFC.

There are also sparkle animations to congratulate users when they close an activity ring, a new design for the "Workout" app and autoset workouts for pool laps.

Apple improved the fitness capabilities of the watchOS.

Apple has always been keen in getting the Apple Watches become workout-specific. We're not so sure about this, but go on... So that Apple has revamped the Music app, along with putting an auto-sync option to it.

Users will also be able to pick out a playlist to start in sync with their workouts, or alter the playlist from the workout app with a simple swipe. There's a redesigned album art window that looks slick with redesigned album art in tow.

Apple is continuing its partnership with Disney.

"Toy Story" and other animated faces, but no Watch Face store: Woody, Buzz and other "Toy Story" characters are now built-in animated faces. For example, at the end of the day, the Apple Watch can tell users exactly how long they need to walk to achieve that day's walking goals. With watchOS 4 four you can accurately count down all the calories, you burned during your toughest workouts.
