Gianna Constand, Andrea Constand's mother, told a Pennsylvania jury that she had a 2-1/2-hour phone conversation with Cosby after her daughter told her about the alleged 2004 assault a year after it happened.
"He looked at me and said, "I thought you had an orgasm, didn't you?'" she said".
When Constand was "jolted awake", she said on the stand on Tuesday, Cosby was assaulting her. "I wanted it to stop", Constand said. He said Johnson made the disclosure while pursuing a claim that she had developed debilitating stress from her secretarial job at the William Morris Agency. Cosby had attended Temple, and Constand had met him when she worked for the women's basketball team.
"The absence of Camille Cosby is noted, usually a person charged with a crime, their spouse comes to show support for them", said attorney Gloria Allred, who represents 33 Cosby accusers. She said they were introduced through a well-respected donor of Temple University sports. She says she then felt paralyzed and helpless as Cosby groped her. Aggravated indecent assault carries a potential maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. "And I felt him take my hand and place it on his penis and move it back and forth", Constand said.
The defense gets another crack at Constand on Wednesday. As day two of the Cosby case comes to a close, here's a recap of what's happened so far. But Constand continued on the stand, saying when she stood up, her legs were wobbly.
Constand's testimony was the first time she was able to tell her story in public as she was barred from doing so thanks to the settlement she had signed in 2006.
The woman who accuses Bill Cosby of sexual assault has denied any prior romance between them. But in the end, it will come down, I believe, to one thing: Does the jury believe Constand is telling the truth?
Agrusa resumed grilling Constand on Wednesday, asserting that Constand's account in court differed from what she told authorities in 2005, giving a different date for the encounter with Cosby than she had originally reported. Both times, Constand made it clear she didn't welcome his advances, she said. But parts of Cosby's deposition in that lawsuit, expected to be used by the prosecution against him at the trial, were released in the summer of 2015. Now, everyone who has been following the 18-month case is asking more questions than ever, and they want to know more about the accuser.
Though Cosby has been publicly accused of assault by dozens of women, the charges deal exclusively with accusations from Constand.
She told the court she felt "really humiliated" after the alleged attack. The other was a voicemail left by Cosby's powerhouse attorney, Marty Singer, asking her mother to call to discuss an "educational fund" for her daughter.
Other details did match up.
Ms Johnson said she held Mr Cosby in the "highest regard and esteem" until he invited her for lunch and insisted she take a pill to "relax". He offered her a muffin and tea.
Bill Cosby arrived for the third day of his sexual assault trial accompanied by one of his co-stars from his 1970s movie run. She testified she had responded that she did not.
Sixty women have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct, including rape.
A few weeks later, Ms Sewell said, Ms Johnson disclosed that she had woken up next to Cosby in bed with her clothes askew.
Miller's timeline of the events differs from Johnson. Cosby, a university trustee, followed the athletics department closely, she said.
Cosby's defense said that it will attempt to discredit Constand in an effort to prove that her allegations against the aging comedian are false.
