"It never occurred to me in any way whatsoever that he was planning violence against anyone", she said in the statement. Danley was allegedly in the Philippines during the attack and was met by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents upon her arrival at LAX.
When police arrived in Paddock's room, he was found dead after he is believed to have killed himself.
Marilou Danley described herself on her now-disabled Facebook as a "proud mom and grandma who lives life to the fullest".
New photos and video show the hotel suite 64-year-old Stephen Paddock turned into a sniper's perch from which he would gun down almost 600 victims, killing 59, Sunday night.
Stephen Craig Paddock was living in Mesquite, Nevada, and authorities say he previously lived in the Dallas suburb of Mesquite, Texas, from 2004 to 2012, and possibly longer.
Paddock encouraged Danley to leave the country before the attack, her sisters said, CNN reports.
Officials say Paddock set up cameras inside the room and in the hallway, but it's unclear whether they were transmitting footage elsewhere or being used to monitor people approaching his room.
Employees at two Las Vegas hotels temporarily were using handheld metal detectors to examine bags in response to a man who had opened fire on an outdoor concert from a suite in a different hotel Sunday.
Danley's sisters told Australia's 7 News that their sister might be the only one who can put the puzzle together.
Authorities have seized 47 firearms from three locations.
Of those weapons, 12 had devices, known as bump stocks, attached that allowed semi-automatic rifles to mimic fully automatic gunfire.
Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said on Tuesday he is "absolutely" confident authorities will find out what set off Paddock and he believes Danley will likely have information that can help authorities.
Investigators are still in the process of examining the firearms to determine whether they were capable of firing automatically.
"From October 2016 to September 28, 2017, he purchased 33 firearms, majority of them rifles", Snyder said.
"I anticipate he was looking for anybody coming to take him into custody", said Sheriff Joe Lombardo. "Everyone who has ever met her likes her". The 62-year-old was allegedly sent to stay with her family by the shooter shortly before the massacre.
"He never said anything to me or took any action that I was aware of that I understood in any way to be a warning that something awful like this was going to happen", Danley, 62, said in the statement released by her lawyer, Matt Lombard. I'll fix it. Do not panic.
Federal Bureau of Investigation teams taking in the scene of the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history Tuesday walked among upturned lawn chairs, an abandoned baby stroller and countless crushed plastic cups littering an abandoned field and stage at the edge of the iconic Las Vegas Strip.
