Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said at a press briefing Monday that officers completed the search of his home in Mesquite, Nevada and were in the process of doing the same at a home he owned in northern Nevada.
The policemen all stay down next to a patrol vehicle on Las Vegas Boulevard, when one of the officers is shot.

Paddock's brother, Eric Paddock, who lives in Florida, told the Orlando Sentinel: "We are completely dumbfounded".
According to Stephen's brother, Eric, he had no political or religious ties.
At least six of the guns were purchased at one store, a Cabela's in Verdi, Nev.
"One of the fundamental principles within security is that you really cannot protect against everything", said John Choate, former executive director of security at Wynn Las Vegas. "I thought it was over".
"Everyone who attended is tweeting or making a Facebook status claiming they're ok", he said.
Police at the scene of the shooting had reported the gunman was using an automatic weapon because of the "rat-a-tat" sound of the gunfire.
