Las Vegas Gunman Stored Explosives, 1600 Rounds of Ammo in Parking Lot

09 Octobre 2017

The Las Vegas shooting is considering as the worst mass shooting in the history of modern America, leaving 58 people dead and more than 500 people injured. Investigators came across 23 guns in his hotel room and an additional 24 at his homes in Mesquite and Verdi, Nevada.

Paddock checked into his room at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on September 28, three days before carrying out his deadly attack, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said.

Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock may have had a severe mental illness that was likely undiagnosed, some law enforcement officials told ABC News over the weekend.

McMahill said police had "no indication" anyone else was in the hotel room while Paddock was firing.

Stephen Paddock in fact was treated very differently.

According to KABC-TV, police have said the woman is a prostitute.

"This was a remarkable effort by a fearless and remarkable man", McMahill said. Before this statement, NBC News reported that investigators found a cell phone charger in the room not matching any of Paddock's phones.

The investigators are searching the motive which forced Paddock to become a mass murderer. "We all want answers". "Someone may have been acting suspiciously that night, or in the years prior, the months prior".

Paddock booked the rooms through a third party - Expedia. That is not the case with this suspect and investigators will continue to look into it.

The family of John Phippen, 56, who was killed in the shooting, petitioned the court Friday to freeze Paddock's assets to prevent the gunman's longtime girlfriend, Marilou Danley, or any of his siblings from transferring money Paddock left behind. Investigators also reportedly determined that one of Paddock's card keys was used to access his room during a period when Paddock's auto had left the hotel garage. These findings have led authorities to conclude that Paddock may have originally meant to escape the scene and survive.

It is unusual to have so few clues several days after a mass shooting.

On Wednesday, US President Trump and the first lady traveled to Las Vegas to encourage the victims and the police. "They're going to be around the runners", Riccio said. "I was just doing my job", he said. Unfortunately, some of them got hurt, and some of them got killed. No one pointed out the extra lenient and relaxed gun laws in the United States, which make it obtaining weapons extremely simple.
