Before the rally from the Panthers, Seguin was up front by two runs.

Brazelton returned to the mound for the second game but soon began battling cramps. An errant pickoff throw to first base by Joplin got to the wall in foul territory and allowed an insurance run to touch home. That brought home Tommy Alitz and Noah Rheinheimer to give Roncalli the lead for good.

"That shouldn't have been a three-run lead going into the bottom (of the inning)".

Ledford tacked on two in the second, one in each of the third and fourth innings and two in the fifth, ending the game via the mercy rule on a bases-loaded, two-out chopper up the middle by Bethune. Butts was the second Indian batter to pick up four hits on the day while Morris and Justin Stone had two hits each.

Carter Dooley took the loss for AES, going six innings and allowing three runs on five hits.

Braydon Pardue hit an RBI double, and Conor McCollum ripped a two-run double in the top of the third inning that extended the Tigers' lead to 9-0.

"I will easily go out and say from top to bottom it's the toughest AAA district in the state", Parker said.

"I could really mention everyone one of our starters".

"We've been getting more innings out of Felix, and we wanted to keep the rotation the same and we got a lot of innings from him", Torres said.

"He pitched better than we anticipated", Tom Schmitt said of Brady. They combined for four strikeouts, six walks and seven surrendered hits. "We're also hitting the ball better and more consistently than we were early on", he said. "He really did a great job and I'm proud".

Ahyunte' Crosby knocked in the winning run in the sixth inning to lead the Tornadoes to victory.

With the victory, the Trojans vaulted over the Buckaroos for first place in the league standings, where they sit as the lone unbeaten team in the conference.

In the follow-up game against the Pioneers, St. Paul went back to the formula that has served them well through the first month of the season - big offense backed by solid defense.

Grace's baseball team won its third straight game thanks to a sweep of Marian on the road Wednesday.

"It's pretty brutal", he said, but he continued pitching into the sixth inning despite the unusual mixture being about as bad as the cramps. "We had to pull out all the stops to win this one".

Hunter Higgins was 3-3 at the plate with 1 RBI.

Junior catcher Alexis Martinez was 2 for 4 with two RBIs for the Eagles and senior Mark Gil was 2 for 3 for the Lancers (8-7, 2-2).
