Its low light capability as well as artistic effects are available with live view-finder for an accurate reflection of your shooting subject. Its ultra sensitivity with clean, noise-less images was previously only possible in interchangeable lens cameras - with this new addition to the flagship family Xperia brings this advanced technology to the palm of your hand. "It is accompanied by f/1.6 aperture 12-megapixel 1/2.3" monochrome sensor with pixel size of 1.55micron. There's no word yet as to how much it will cost, but its predecessor, the Xperia XZ Premium, debuted in June for $799. Or, you could switch into the dedicated monochrome mode. This model can take 4K HDR video, which will be great for playback on that ludicrous screen. With these cameras, you can record videos in 4K HDR while also being able to shoot slow-motion videos in HD or Full-HD resolution at 960 frames/second.

On the front there is a 13-megapix camera with f / 2.0 aperture and 22mm wide angle lens. It's capable of using the display as an impromptu flash. Surprisingly, the display is still having a 16:9 aspect ratio and it pushes a resolution of 3840 x 2160. Both phones feature X20 LTE and 4x4 MIMO wireless connectivity, along with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display cover, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of memory, 64GB of built-in storage and a MicroSDXC slot for storage cards of up to 400GB.

Sony has carried over its Dynamic Vibration System as well. Sony says that this display is also 30% brighter than the one on the XZ2.

Also like the XZ2 is the design.

It's the most powerful phone in Sony's lineup, with a number of interesting specs, including a 5.8-inch 4K screen and a dual 19/13-megapixel camera on the back. IP65/68 water resistance are on board, so you don't have to worry about getting the phone wet.

This move now puts Sony in direct competition with the likes of Samsung and Huawei's latest flagship smartphones. The Huawei P20 Pro - sadly still not yet confirmed for a USA release - has been wowing reviewers with its triple camera array, for example. In fact the cameras are there for low-light photography. The rear camera setup combines a 19MP main camera with a secondary 12MP black-and-white camera, while the front has a 13MP camera.

We'll let you know when we have more information to share.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium Dual SIM (Nano) runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

The smartphone will be available in the global market from the middle of the year.
