As the second season kicks off, let's just say it's a good thing Michael Crichton, who wrote and directed the 1973 movie on which "Westworld" is based, also has "The Great Train Robbery", "The Andromeda Strain", "Disclosure" and "ER" on his resume. Needless to say, the park still opened. Obviously, there are less legal ways that we won't delve into and you can even just go out and buy the first season on Blu-ray, DVD or even on Amazon's Prime Video and keep them forever. Probably the most important is a new regular, played by The Leftovers star Katja Herbers, described by Deadline as "a seasoned guest in Westworld whose latest visit comes at the park's darkest hour". Westworld can be a bit deep for 2am viewings after all. Arnold believed consciousness can be represented by a pyramid.
Was he saying that he would never die, because he created a host version of himself? The actress earns gold, even as the luminous Dolores stuns with her fury and demands. If that's the case, hosts might just access memories of his wisdom in critical times. Do hosts poo? That's what you said, right? She also could not underscore enough the importance of pay parity. It was the host whom Dolores killed, not Ford, some fans have theorized.
Surely, Ford's (Anthony Hopkins) right-hand man would be in on all the park's masterplans. This isn't the only possible explanation involving a "Ford host", however. "We want to take all the time we need to get it right". At the beginning of their trip, William resists the park's temptations, which Logan readily indulges in. "That's why you see me so focused".
DOLORES AND WILLIAM. Evan Rachel Wood as the Host Dolores and Jimmi Simpson as William. Finally, there appears to be a separate timeline several weeks (months?) following the massacre.
'If you work 16 hours and you're a woman, it's the same 16 hours that you work if you're a man. Is her memory any less real than our memories?
In this new era of prestige TV, there is a sense that clarity is for dopes, clarity is for people who just want to watch Friends reruns. Poor, tragic Teddy. Then we had humans who either ran the place, or ran wild in it, including Ed Harris as The Man In Black, a veteran player who had figured out most of the place's secrets, and was on the hunt for another.
"The hosts are revolting and Dolores is leading this revolt", Joy told EW.
The show also tells the story of Maeve, a madame in the present day, but who is haunted by nightmares of a dying daughter.
During a routine maintenance check, Maeve wakes up. But what will happen when the Hosts learn to do the same? In episode two, viewers will get to see another section of the park, and episode three will showcase two other artificial fantasy worlds in the park.
At the end of Season 1, Maeve (Thandie Newton) was about to board a train to the world beyond the park - but then chose to turn back to hunt for her lost daughter (well, a host that was programmed to be her daughter in another storyline).
With Ford dead, Bernard is no longer under his control and is able to explore his own free will now that he knows he's a host.
Will the Hosts prevail over humanity?
The second season of the show premieres on HBO this Sunday and audiences are eager to find out what will become of the theme park owned by Delos following the climactic events of last season's finale.
Judging from the official images released so far, these ominous new bots look like they're bringing everyone's favorite sci-fi drama into horror territory.
