Game 7 at our house.

Houston will need a more efficient performance from Harden to win Game 7, and ideally another big night from its role players.

It turns out that playing the Golden State Warriors on the road without one of their two best players was exactly as tough as it was predicted to be for the Houston Rockets.

The Warriors slightly turned it around in the second quarter, outscoring Houston 29-22 to cut their deficit to 10 points at halftime.

It's a brutal blow for a Rockets team sitting one win away from the NBA Finals.

The Rockets earned the right to play Game 7 at home by rolling to the NBA's best record. Steve Kerr eschewed the Kevin Durant isos and post-ups that allowed Houston to shrink the floor on defense in previous games. It started with defense in the second half, and then the 3-point barrage began, led by the Splash Brothers. And roaring Oracle Arena went insane with hopes of even more home games to come if Golden State can get to a fourth straight finals.

Game 5 was a barnburner between the top two teams in the Western Conference this year, and was the closest game we've had these Conference Finals, both in the East and West.

No arguing they both appreciate Thompson's no-fear shooting approach and ability to nearly single-handedly turn the tide of a game with a timely 3-pointer or two - or nine.

"We was supposed to score", he said. That's what we worked the entire regular season for, is home-court advantage. "And this is what we play for". When all three are firing like that, the Warriors are virtually unstoppable.

Curry (the Warriors $201 million point guard) passed up the big shot, opting to trust Green to catch a pass and either stick a game victor or hit Klay Thompson in the corner. Curry did it again moments later from deep. None of them have distinguished themselves since Iguodala suffered a bone bruise on his left knee in Game 3. What we did in that first half, that shows what we can do. Curry snapped out of his funk and hit 3 of 4 shots from 3-point range in the third quarter.

"We'll take that", Harden said after Houston's 115-86 loss to the Warriors at Oracle Arena. A Rockets team that couldn't miss in the first half struggled to make 3s in the second (4-of-17).

The Warriors did see the return of guard Patrick McCaw. He quickly grabbed a rebound.

Kerr said Iguodala keeps improving incrementally. He was rewarded after the game with hardhat from Chinese media, which he was apparently happy to receive.
