Details emerge in LeBron James' reported move to Los Angeles Lakers

02 Juillet 2018

But speculation is still rampant that James could sign with Lakers, considering he has a home in Los Angeles.

James might finally be making the move from the Eastern to Western Conference, but people all over the United States had something to say about it.

Check out the reactions below and let us know your thoughts on the move in the comments at the end.

LeBron's reported deal with the Lakers, a US$154 million whopper, covers a period of four years, which will bring LeBron up to 2022 when he will be 37-years-old. And LeBron is the baddest hombre of them all, the best player in the league, who, while past his prime in terms of age, is coming off what could have been the best offensive season of his 15-year, incredibly decorated career.

Prior to the LeBron news, Lakers season tickets could be purchased for $3,500 minimum.

Gilbert penned a touching letter thanking James for leading the team to a championship and four straight NBA Finals appearances.

But after 15 years in the NBA, James didn't need much convincing nor elaborate proposals. A failed super team and poor decisions in free agency resulted in the Lakers having to go through a tough rebuild.

While his wife and children were out of town for an AAU tournament, James was at his OH mansion pondering his next career move and how to top the champion Golden State Warriors, Jenkins writes. This is the longest contract LeBron has signed since his six-year deal with the Heat in 2010, though the final two years of that contract were player options. The team from OH made a number of trades at this past year's trade deadline, drafted Collin Sexton with the No. 8 pick in the NBA Draft and have most of its core outside of James, of course, locked up.

It may take LeBron a couple of years to be surrounded by enough talent to win another National Basketball Association title.

This time, LeBron let his agent handle all the contacts, listen to the team sales pitches, relay LeBron the info and then announce the decision via LeBron's sports management agency Klutch Sports Group. It would make James the best ever to play the game. "Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible four seasons, the four-time National Basketball Association most valuable player, and 14-time All Star, said".

Afterward, James yelled, "Cleveland, this is for you", into Doris Burke's microphone.
