The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is due to be officially unveiled in NY today at 4pm BST (11am EDT).
Part of the document reads: "The all new S Pen now boasts powerful Bluetooth technology, letting you press a button to take control of your camera, presentations, and apps without touching your phone". It does come in two sizes, though, and arrives at the same time as the Note 9.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is a beast of a phone and it's priced like one.
But the Note fan base may be convinced to upgrade if they're in the market for a bigger screen, better battery life and new camera features. If Epic were to just open the floodgates to every potential mobile player, it'd be too much to handle. The world-facing camera has a dual-sensor system with optical image stabilization on both snappers. It even features the same variable aperture system like the S9+, where you can switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture on the fly.
Spotify CEO Daniel Ek demonstrates how music playback can be done seamlessly between the Note 9 and the Galaxy Home smart speaker.
American Note 9 buyers will find a Snapdragon 845 SoC inside, running at up to 2.8 GHz on its performance cores and up to 1.7 GHz on its efficiency cores. The full prices are the same as everywhere else in the U.S.: $999.99 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or $1,249.99 with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal space. For comparison purposes, the largest storage on an Apple iPhone is 256 GB, with no microSD card slot. Like, now. And anyone who buys the new Samsung Note 9 or Galaxy Tab S4 will get access to the free Samsung Galaxy outfit. There's also a secondary 12MP camera that offers 2X optical zoom and it also offers depth of field effects with Live Focus. Samsung said that it's working with Spotify and Google to integrate Bixby into their products.
The Note 9 comes in four different color options and what's new here is that each color comes with a different color S Pen for a sparkle of contrast and extra style points. United States pre-orders Start from 10 August (tomorrow) and pre-orders get a free pair of AKG noise-cancelling headphones (worth about $299) or 15,000 in Fortnite V-Bucks.
On Reddit, Epic addressed the issue, offering a statement that seemed to imply that, rather than shut out support for mouse on consoles, they plan to tweak matchmaking going forwards, so that players get matched with others sharing their control scheme. This could result in a game that could have differential pricing for Fortnite skins, emotes, and other in-app purchases, in addition to the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Fortnite exclusive skin.
