John Aldridge and Ian Rush react to Liverpool point at Chelsea

Daniel Sturridge produced an absolute worldie against Chelsea. I love the club, the fans, the city and my team-mates, I think, love me so it's easy to stay.

"He has the capacity to make you shout "wow" as I did when he scored the goal that knocked Liverpool out of the Carabao Cup". It's good to get the result.

Jorginho has been an exceptional addition but Kovacic, on loan from Real Madrid, has quietly improved the team and he is not short on big-game experience. I just give my best every minute I get. "It's just important to keep pushing forward, having a positive outlook on everything going on and it's been good far".

But, as the clock ticked down, Sturridge had the final say - bending a handsome strike into the top corner from 30 yards.

'He was a great player... legend, and I really am watching his videos so it's great to have a chat with a guy like him.

Having impressed for a number of seasons, the Belgian global has raised his game even further this season and now looks set to take his place among those considered to be in the latter bracket.

It's never nice to lose a game of football, no matter the circumstances or the competition but the midweek loss to Chelsea shouldn't incite panic among Liverpool supporters.

Jorginho admits Chelsea's talisman has looked unplayable at times, with his form placing him in a talent bracket at the very top of the world game.

Although he was forced onto his weaker left foot Hazard still managed to drill the ball low past Alisson Becker for his seventh goal of the season.

Asked if Sturridge could win a place in the Liverpool front three, fellow BT Sport pundit Jermaine Jenas said: 'I don't think he can, not with that front three.

"The first two places, as you know, for me, is going to be very hard because Manchester City and Liverpool are a step forward on us".

"He had a full pre-season and is in best shape since I know him".

The two English giants won't lock horns again in the league until April and it will be interesting to see if both teams can still be in the hunt for the domestic crown. "But I think the draw is the fair result".
