Over in the AFC the Chiefs will host the Colts with snow falling at Arrowhead Stadium while the Patriots will host the Chargers in New England. This would be a hard-fought game, but I think the Saints pull out the win and secure their spot in the Super Bowl. Extra time to strategize, particularly against an unfamiliar opponent, is a bonus.
I made a decision to go with Andrew Luck as I just like the match-up a bit more agianst the Kansas City pass defense that comes into this game ranked 31st when it comes to pass defense. "At times we did a good job of that". So, I know we've certainly looked at it as a positive. Five years ago, they blew a 38-10 second-half lead against Luck and the Colts to spoil Andy Reid's first season. "There's a good buzz in the building this week building into Saturday night". However, we've seen Drew Brees torch this team for 33 DraftKings points in Week 11. For the AFC West Champions, this season is a surprise just getting a first-round bye. Are the Chiefs, Patriots or Saints in need of some WD-40? That is a stat that can bet most football fans wouldn't believe, but it is true. "We're locked in now".
After a brief swoon late in the season, the Saints' offense appeared to come back to life some against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the most recent game they've played at full strength without resting anyone.
The stadium would house the conference title bout only if the fifth-seeded Chargers and sixth-seeded Indianapolis Colts advance past the AFC Divisional Round.
"It's going to be a great team".
Well, that defense is a big reason why the Chiefs are one step away. He also had two sacks on Patrick Mahomes and broke up a pass.
Kansas City scored a franchise-record 565 points, third most in National Football League history.
It was Anderson who got the carry on fourth-and-goal with seven minutes left in the game, and he ran through contact at the line of scrimmage for the score that proved to be the difference in the game. Kansas City averaged an NFL-best 35.3 points per game; Indy only reached 35 points three times all season. In my opinion, this game is most likely going to be the best of the round.
The long-struggling Rams had won only one postseason game since their last trip to the Super Bowl in February 2002, but 32-year-old coach Sean McVay has added his first playoff victory to his spectacular two-season franchise turnaround.
Rams over the Cowboys: Honestly this could go either way.
The Rams are giving the visiting Dallas Cowboys a touchdown.
I wasn't involved in either game, though I did lean to the two favorites. Gurley led the league in touchdowns with 21, 17 rushing. New England simply seems to find a way this time of year, and though this year's team has its flaws, Los Angeles will have to be at their best and then some to win this. There is concern about leading rusher Melvin Gordon, who hurt his knee in Baltimore.
Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are the reasons you can not count this Patriots team out, ever! He endured the childhood disappointments, and the playoff losses while he was starring in high school and at Northern Iowa. Third cornerback Charvarius Ward and safety Jordan Lucas, who is starting in place of the injured Eric Berry, have played well over the past couple of games. To make matters worse for the Eagles, they are only putting up a little bit over 22 while on the road. This was the same matchup back in Week 11, a game that New Orleans won 48-7.
Worth focusing on: Again, the secondaries. The Eagles' defense was solid in Chicago, but the Saints' offense is a whole different breed.
