Lady Gaga Slays With Powerful Rendition Of ‘Shallow’ At The Grammys

Although Gambino didn't show, we did learn that Mayer and Keys split a Grammy years ago after his song "Daughters" beat "If I Ain't Got You" for song of the year.

"Tonight we celebrate the greatness in each other", Keys said onstage. "I was thrilled to be there for the one and only Alicia Keys at the Grammys", she wrote.

For her first time hosting the Grammys, Alicia came out very chill and very cool, with a smile and clearly enjoying the vibe she was feeling in the room.

The Bad Romance crooner also spoke out about mental health issues, a topic covered in A Star Is Born, the movie the song is from. She and her husband, former US President Barack Obama, signed deals for a book apiece with Penguin Random House a month after Obama left office in January 2017. She completed the look with matching red stilettos, and wore her trademark blonde locks in voluminous waves. The best moment of the whole damn night just happened in the first nine minutes of the show. She was the most nominated woman at the Grammys, but twitter was still alight with people discovering the folk artist after watching her slay her performance during the show.

Lady Gaga won four trophies across continents on one of cinema and music's biggest award nights on Sunday.

You can see a clip of her entire speech below. I'm just really thankful.

Heading into music's biggest night, rap artists Kendrick Lamar and Drake topped the nominations, with eight and seven, respectively. Emily Lazar, one of the engineers who worked on the album and won alongside Beck, was the first female mastering engineer to win in the latter category. "The Joke" is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance, while her album, By the Way, I Forgive You, is up for Album of the Year and Best Americana album.

Artists including Miley Cyrus, Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris performed together to honor country superstar Dolly Parton. She celebrated her 75th birthday early with the performance, saying afterward, "Happy birthday to me!" "And I know that's true for everybody here", Obama continued.
